Sponsorship Officer

The Sponsorship Officer supports the Treasurer in liaising with Sponsorship Partners for Women in Commerce and Politics. The Sponsorship Officer also supports the club in liaising with the events, marketing, commerce, and politics teams to ensure that sponsorship obligations are fulfilled.

Your responsibilities as a Sponsorship Officer at WCP will include:
 

1. Report to the Sponsorship Director/Treasurer

2. Seek out new connections and sponsors for the upcoming academic year

​

3. Support the Treasurer to develop WCP’s Prospectus for the upcoming academic year 

​

4. Hold sponsorship meetings and secure sponsors for the upcoming academic year

​

5. Liaise with sponsors to maintain strong relations 

​

6. Provides timely and professional communication with sponsors

 

7. Liaise with events, marketing, commerce and politics teams to fulfil sponsorship obligations as outlined in sponsorship agreements

​

8. Write up mid-year and end of year report for sponsors

​

9. Manage sponsors for events as per their sponsorship package

​

10. Manage members for sponsor event attendance as per their sponsorship package

​

11. Duties remain until beginning of the academic year until the beginning of the following academic year including the summer holiday period

​

12. Attend and actively participating in committee and sponsorship meetings as required

​

13. Works closely with the Treasurer and other divisions of the committee to communicate and fulfil sponsorship obligations

​

14. Ensures strong leadership succession by identifying and recruiting new club volunteers

​

15.Actively participate in all club affairs

​

​Our ideal candidate has:

  • Past experience in partnership management preferred
  • Exemplary communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High level of professionalism, commitment and self-discipline

  • Strong work ethic

  • Superior understanding of the WCP values

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Highly capable in working independently and in teams

  • Outstanding ability to keep up to date with opportunities for the club via email

  • Sufficient knowledge and ideas in how sponsors can be incorporated through events, publications, and marketing

  • Positive attitude and willingness to put in the hard work

Estimated time commitment:

4-5 hours per week
